SQL Server

SQL Server is a relational database management system. Primary function of SQL Server is to storing and retrieving data as requested by other software applications which may run either on the same computer or on another computer across a network. Transact-SQL (T-SQL) is an extension of SQL that is used in SQL Server. Transact-SQL is closely integrated into the SQL language, yet it adds programming constructs that are not native to SQL.

A SQL server can refer to a database management system that is accessible from devices that is formatted using the SQL language. When "SQL" is capitalized, it typically refers to database management products that are produced by either Microsoft or Sybase. A database management system is used to let employees and owners access a large variety of information from a specific location like a computer. Web applications written in SQL are typically sets of stored procedures that interact with web browsers through the HTTP protocol
